About Us
SCHOLARS
Students enroll in college to get a quality education. Consistent with this philosophy, the Fraternity places a strong emphasis on scholarship and on educating our members both inside and outside of the classroom. Through minimum GPA standards, mentor programs, and educational programming our members are equipped to excel academically.
LEADERS
PIKE provides an arena for developing leadership skills that will benefit members throughout their lives. By being a part of one of the largest fraternal organizations in North America, our members enjoy the opportunity to not only gain elite leadership experience while in college, but to also network with our highly successful alumni in their post-graduate careers.
ATHLETES
We believe that through athletic competition, we will build teamwork skills fundamental to success in the business world, bolster unity within the chapter, contribute to the physical and mental health of our members, and improve the quality of the overall college experience. Competition breeds excellence - in the classroom, on the playing fields, and in our daily lives.
GENTLEMEN
PIKE is dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character.
Members of the Fraternity learn social skills and etiquette through membership development programs.
In addition to the social aspect of being a gentleman, members are encouraged to participate in the ample community service and philanthropy opportunities presented by our chapters. PIKE believes that a commitment to service is a crucial part of developing as a young man.
Pike Fireman's Challenge
The Orange County Fire Authority Firefighter’s Benevolent Association is organized for the purpose of providing physical, financial, and emotional support to its members and their families during times of need. Support is provided by an all-volunteer Board of Directors in a non-political and non-denominational manner. Its desire is to “take care of our own”, and to do the right things for the right reasons.
Every year, firefighters pass away from illness caused by working in the force, or from work related fatalities. Firefighters put their lives at risk in order to keep members of our community safe. The families of fallen firefighters deserve to be assisted in their times of need.
In 2015, our chapter hosted a competition between all sororities to help raise money and awareness for this amazing cause. In our first year hosting the event we could not have been happier with our results; with the help of everyone who participated, we were able to raise over $4,000 for the charity! Congratulations to the ladies from the Alpha Phi sorority who came in first place overall this year! We can't thank you ladies more for you hard work in support this wonderful cause.
CuckFancer.
Although originally hosted by the gentlemen of the Alpha Espilon Pi Fraternity, PIKE was given the opportunity to help these men organize a week of exciting events for the UCI community in the past two years. CuckFancer. is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness for young adult cancer by helping survivors get their feet back on the ground. It was started by our very own UCI Alum, Ben Teller. Ben had a hope that by sharing his story as a 3-time cancer survivor, he could help people like himself who might be too isolated in their young adult years to get the support needed to fight this horrible disease.
The weeklong set of events included a beach volleyball tournament in Newport Beach, a "Be the Match" bone marrow registry day, a "Picture Yourself Cuckin' It" head shaving event, and a final CuckFancer party to raise money and celebrate the hard work throughout the week.
In just a few years this foundation has become one of the biggest philanthropies hosted by any student organization at UCI. In the two years we have been a part of this event, Pi Kappa Alpha, Alpha Epsilon Pi, and the surrounding UCI community has been able to raise an overwhelming $22,000 for the CuckFancer. foundation!
Annual Founder's Day Football Tournament
Since the founding of our chapter in 2004, each year our chapter pays respect to our Alumni for all of the hard work they put in during their time here by continuing their annual philanthropy. Each year our chapter hosts a football tournament between the sororities at UC Irvine and among the local Pi Kappa Alpha chapters in California. Brothers from San Jose State, Frenso State, UC San Diego, Chapman, Long Beach State, and many other chapters have come to compete in our tournament to help raise money for various causes.
In past years our chapter has raised countless dollars for organizations such as:
Wings for Life, Camp del Corazon, The American Red Cross Association, and many other amazing charities.
This successful event never ceases to bring great competition and good vibes all geared for a day dedicated to helping those less fortunate than ourselves!
Honduras Brigade
Countless Pikes from the Lambda Lambda chapter at UC Irvine have committed their spring breaks to give back to those less fortunante in Honduras.
Through the Global Water Brigades, Pikes were given the opportunity to travel to Los Hatillos, Honduras as well as other rural communities to help build a water system to provide clean, running water.
Please watch the following video for more information about the brigaders.
Philanthropy
Social events allow our members an opportunity to unwind from the classroom. Pi Kappa Alpha hosts the largest venue parties each quarter including our infamous FOAM party, Pikes of the Carribean, and Jurassic Pike. We also have multiple quarterly exchanges with the beautiful sororities. You can't forget about our annual Spring Garnet Classic Formal which has previously been hosted in Las Vegas and Palm Springs!
